Boards you can see here are prototype processor systems, mounted on a very strange test boards. It is difficult to say exactly how it was used and why it is mounted on such boards, and not in the target housing. Little golden round pads are testpoints, which can be connected with a spring wire pins. However, what does the rest of the components you see in the pictures ... I have no idea.
